Arlene Bardelle has been dazzling audiences with her tasteful vocal stylings for the past several years. Chicago is her home base, where she works with some of the finest musicians in town. Arlene was a mainstay at the famed Coq D'or in the Drake hotel for many years. She has performed at many other top notch Chicago venues such as the Pump Room, Andy's Jazz Club, Pops for Champagne, Fitzgerald's and the Jazz Showcase. Arlene has also performed at the Crystal Ballroom, Chicago Jazz Fest, Taste of Chicago, and Smoke in New York.

Arlene cites jazz vocal icon Ella Fitzgerald as a major influence on her singing abilities. Some of Arlene's other significant influences include Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra.

“Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” was recorded at the world famous Chicago Recording Company and features some of Chicago’s finest Jazz musicians including: Tom Muellner on piano, Eric Hochberg & Kelly Sill on bass, Rusty Jones and Tim Davis on drums, Art Davis on trumpet, Eric Schneider on saxophone and Geraldo D'Olivera on percussion.

With each beautifully centered note, Bardelle offers more than her admirable musical intonation. There’s also a perfection of emotional pitch, with each phrase tilted at the best angle to tell her story.

I think that her message finds its truest vessel in “I’ll Take Romance”… The melody is bright and chipper, like Bardelle’s voice; the lyrics eager and fresh, like her phrasing. The song’s components mesh without effort, and her rhythm and timing follow suit.
